Si antes del confinamiento el Centro de Salud de Atarfe estaba desbordado, en la situación actual de Pandemia está “colapsado”.
Atarfe es un municipio que ronda ya los 20.000 habitantes, su Centro de Salud fue construido hace dos décadas para una población en aquella época de unos 10.000 habitantes, a pesar de alguna ampliación en estos años con la especialidad de salud mental, sus instalaciones y su personal resulta totalmente insuficiente, situación que se ha vuelto insostenible tras la Pandemia por el Covid-19.
Prueba de ello es el “calvario” que supone conseguir una cita médica, los usuarios de Atarfe tienen que llamar repetidas veces para posteriormente esperar la llamada de “Salud responde” y con suerte la cita la consiguen a los 10 días de media. Largas colas por las tardes, porque ante la lentitud del sistema, los usuarios acaban por ir a urgencias.
Es palpable en el rostro de los sanitarios la situación de extrés que viven, la red de asistencia sanitaria primaria que fue una de las grandes conquistas de la democracia, debido a los “ recortes en sanidad” tras la crisis del “ladrillo” quedó tocada, pero la Pandemia actual la está hundiendo. Se comprende que en los inicios de la pandemia no hubiera capacidad de reacción, lo que no se entiende es que en estos meses las autoridades autonómicas responsables de salud no hayan blindado los Centros de Salud con más especialistas ante la anunciada “ segunda ola”. El Gobierno del Estado debería intervenir en aquellas Comunidades Autonómicas que no estén aplicando las diversas directrices estatales en materia de Sanidad: contratación de rastreadores y especialistas sanitarios complementarios para afrontar los efectos producidos por la expansión del coronavirus.
La Consejería de Salud andaluza debería haber apostado por reforzar los Centros de atención primaria de la Comunidad en cuanto se decidió trasladar las derivaciones de los pacientes Covid-19 a estos centros, pues son muchos los trámites que conllevan, pensemos en el seguimiento de las Residencias de Mayores, Centros Educativos, Empresas, etc., quedando relegadas las citas cotidianas de aquellos pacientes que requieren cita médica por algún motivo.
Desde el Ayuntamiento como representante del municipio se debe reivindicar más recursos para nuestro Centro de Salud, más información sobre la situación que se está viviendo y concitar una Comisión con todos los Grupos Políticos que vaya a la Delegación de Salud y exija más profesionales sanitarios para este pueblo.
Por último también los vecinos y vecinas de este pueblo tenemos algo que aportar, son tiempos de mucha responsabilidad para cuidarnos entre nosotros, especialmente proteger a nuestros mayores, exigirnos y exigir a todos los que convivimos a diario el cumplimiento de todos los protocolos de prevención en materia de mascarilla, distancia social, higiene en las manos , ventilación en los locales cerrados, y lo más importante, una actitud proactiva que tenga claro la necesidad de velar por la Salud allá donde quiera que estemos: plazas, redes sociales, medios de comunicación y si llega el caso frente a las puertas de nuestro propio Centro de Salud.
